PORTFOLIO

JUST SAYING FOR THE SAKE OF SAYING

As a seasoned training professional in the microfinance sector, my journey began in 1996 when I embraced the responsibilities of an Area Manager at BURO Tangail, which later evolved into BURO Bangladesh. This initial role marked the inception of a profound connection with the development sector. Six years into the journey, my professional dimension underwent a transformative shift as I transitioned into the realm of training.

My training odyssey unfolded over the years, bringing with it diverse experiences and insights. By the time 2021 arrived, my commitment to microfinance development had led me to BURO Bangladesh, with a brief interlude of six months at the Society for Social Service (SSS).

During this period, I assumed the role of an in-charge at the Center for Human Resource Development (CHRD) within BURO Bangladesh.

In pursuit of continuous learning, I delved into national and international training opportunities, both as a participant and a facilitator. The thematic focus of these endeavors primarily revolved around the intersection of training and microfinance. My belief in the transformative power of education prompted me to initiate the training department at Samajik Seba Shonghothon in 2022, a venture I have been actively steering ever since.

Throughout my career, the evolution from an Area Manager to a training performer has been a journey of self-discovery and professional growth. The microfinance sector, with its intricate dynamics and socio-economic impact, became the canvas upon which I painted my passion for development. My time at SSS provided me with a unique perspective, offering a brief but invaluable glimpse into a different organizational landscape.

As the in-charge of the Center for Human Resource Development (CHRD)  at BURO Bangladesh, I found myself at the nexus of human capital and organizational excellence. It was a role that not only demanded strategic thinking but also a deep understanding of the individual growth trajectories within the microfinance sector. This experience laid the groundwork for my subsequent venture at Samajik Seba Shonghothon.

In 2022, armed with years of experience and a fervent commitment to knowledge dissemination, I spearheaded the establishment of the training department at Samajik Seba Shonghothon. This initiative was a testament to my belief in the pivotal role of training in empowering individuals and fostering sustainable development within the microfinance landscape.

The training programs I have initiated and conducted over the years have been centered around bridging the gap between theory and practice in the microfinance domain. These programs aim not only to impart technical skills but also to instill a deep sense of social responsibility and ethical conduct among professionals in the field. By aligning training initiatives with the broader goals of Samajik Seba Shonghothon, I seek to contribute to the organization’s overarching mission of social service.

As the head of the training department, my role involves shaping the learning trajectory of individuals within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. The ever-evolving nature of the microfinance sector necessitates adaptive and forward-thinking training methodologies. My team and I are dedicated to developing programs that equip our staff with the skills and knowledge required to navigate the dynamic landscape of microfinance effectively.

In conclusion, my journey in the microfinance sector has been a tapestry of experiences, each thread woven with dedication, passion, and a commitment to positive change. The initiation and sustenance of the training department at Samajik Seba Shonghothon serve as milestones in my quest to contribute meaningfully to the sector’s growth and development. As I reflect on the path traveled thus far, I am inspired by the belief that education is not just a tool for individual empowerment but a catalyst for holistic societal transformation.
